Park development – latest news (April 2016)

Work has now been scheduled to be completed on 4 May with the removal of the temporary fencing  the following week. Some of the new planting will be protected by low level fencing as will the areas of bare soil which have been seeded with grass. These fences will stay in place for about a year to allow new plants to establish and for the grass to grow. All the paths will be accessible as will the children's play areas and the multi-use games area.

Once the park is open it will be possible to assess the refurbishment and the Friends will be taking a very careful look at it. We shall also welcome the views of those who use the park - what they like and what they don't like. The W12 Festival will be held in the park on Saturday 23 July which will also be the newly-refurbished park's 'Grand Opening'. Derrick Wright, Chair.
