Play interrupted

June 7, 2012

Though the weather might have interrupted play, both the cricket cage and tennis court fencing are being repaired.

Hammermsith & Fulham Borough Council contractors have been restoring the cricket caging with matching meshed sheets. Hopefully we will see future cricket practice contained within the cage.

The tennis court fencing is next to be restored. The gaps in the fencing will be replaced and the currently leaning poles restored to upright! We’ve been ensured all will be done before the start of Wimbledon.

Whilst the wet weather has helped Wormholt Park look lush, green and splendid, sadly the strong winds has seen half a tree come down in the far south east corner.
