About the Friends

Friends of Wormholt Park (FOWP) was formed in April 2011. We are a voluntary group made up local people who either use the park or want to work to make it a better place. Friends of Wormholt Park or the Friends’ Group as it is commonly known is working in partnership with local residents and services to achieve the following goals:

  • secured a permanent resource/area for the Friends Group within the park
  • increase the biodiversity of nature and wildlife within the park
  • become a strong body for good within the Wormholt area
  • improved the opinion of the park by local residents
  • seen greater use of the park by local residents
  • minimised behaviour disrespectful to the park
  • increased the love and usage of the park.

We have seven elected committee members who meet at regular committee meetings to help us achieve our goals and to arrange events in the park.

The committee is founded upon a Constitution revised 2015 and has a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hammersmith and Fulham Council.

If you would like to become a Friend please go to our get involved section.

Keeping you informed

Sponsorship with Winkworths

Friends of Wormholt Park entered into a sponsorhsip agreement with the local Winkworths estate agency office on Uxbridge Road in September 2011.

In sponsoring us Simon Waller, Winkworths Sales Manager has said:

“The sponsorship of the Friends of Wormholt Park is a fantastic opportunity for us to get involved in helping to revitalise a historic and sadly underused local park.

We wanted a project which we felt would genuinely benefit the community in which we work and one in which we could take an active roll. The Friends of Wormholt Park is just such a project and it is a pleasure to be involved with them”.
